New York Broadcast Leadership and Hall of Fame Luncheon
Join us as we honor Bob Pittman, Chairman and CEO of iHeartMedia, Inc., who has been named NYSBA’s “Broadcaster of the Year.” Mr. Pittman is a true industry leader and perhaps the most creative, visionary and dynamic executive in broadcasting. His views not only shape the radio industry, but the future of all media in this country. We are also inducting three of New York’s legendary broadcasters into the NYSBA Hall of Fame: Sandy Beach, 35 year veteran and Buffalo’s morning host on Newstalk 930 AM WBEN; Janet Lomax, a journalist for 36 years, she was the weeknight evening news anchor for WHEC-TV in Rochester; and Art McFarland, a 31 year veteran education reporter and Eyewitness news anchor for WABC-TV in New York City. These broadcasters represent the best in our profession and set the gold standard for the next generation. The luncheon will be held at 12 p.m., October 19 in the Exhibit Hall 1D.
