Richard is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Our.News, a startup on a mission to combat misinformation by providing a platform that makes it easy for anyone to fact-check and rate news. Since founding the company in 2016, Richard has dedicated his life to this fight. He has appeared on NBC-WNYT as well as Spectrum News in New York’s Capital Region to discuss this new approach to fighting misinformation. Richard started his career at the age of 14, when he built the first Internet Service Provider in Geauga County, Ohio. He later founded, and served at CEO of Pantek, Inc., an expert Linux and Open Source Software services firm that was later acquired by an investment group in 2007. Richard later served as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer of Metisentry, a builder of secure business software. Richard has also been recognized as a self-starter by Inside Business Magazine, as well as a security expert by ComputerWorld. He was also named a young business leader in Crain’s Cleveland “20 in their 20’s.” Richard’s previous consulting clients include AutoZone, National Public Radio, Northrop Grumman, The Nature Conservancy, and Shipco Transport. Richard attended Cleveland State University, Hudson Valley Community College, and Quinnipiac University, holding a degree in Computer Science.
