Puja Vohra serves executive vice president of marketing and digital for truTV. In this role, she is responsible for the development and execution of all on and off-air marketing, digital and creative services strategies, as well as creating and implementing innovative campaigns to expand the truTV brand and promote the network to the consumer and trade. She is also responsible for the network's multi-platform content strategy. She is based in New York and reports to Chris Linn, president for truTV.
Since joining truTV in 2014, Vohra has led the network’s marketing efforts to new heights, creating strategic, high-impact campaigns for its slate of original series and new comedic brand identity. The work has been consistently recognized as some of the industry’s best, winning a series of competitive awards, including a prestigious Grand CLIO Award in 2016 for the network’s #truTVisathing social media campaign.
Prior to truTV, Vohra was senior vice president of marketing at Oxygen Media where she managed the network’s consumer marketing and ad-sales teams. Her team's marketing initiatives in 2013 helped lift Oxygen's audience for original programming by 41% over the prior year. Vohra led the development of successful launch campaigns for such shows as Best Ink and Preachers of LA. During her time at Oxygen, she created new advertiser partnerships and enhanced existing ones with companies like Johnson & Johnson, Pepsi, AT&T and TJ Maxx. She also successfully monetized several freshman shows, including The Glee Project and The Face. In addition, Vohra led Oxygen's digital and social marketing initiatives, increasing the network's online presence and engagement significantly.
Prior to her role at Oxygen, Vohra developed the marketing, branding, media, partnerships and trade strategy behind the launch of Discovery Networks' Planet Green. She previously served as vice president of ad sales marketing for Bravo Media, making a splash with the network's first "Affluencers" trade campaign. Additionally, she served as director of consumer marketing for Bravo, developing high-profile partnerships and creating marketing campaigns for such hit shows like Project Runway, Top Chef and The Real Housewives of Orange County.
In addition to her job duties, Vohra serves as a mentor for PromaxBDA International and sits on the organizations Board of Directors. She has also worked with the South Asian Women's Leadership Forum. In 2011, she was honored as one of CableFAX Magazine named her among the Most Influential Minorities in Cable. And in 2013, she won a Next Generation Leaders Award from the National Association for Multi-Ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC). Most recently, she was honored as a 2016 Broadcasting & Cable Digital All-Star.
Vohra earned a bachelor's degree in commerce from Delhi University and an MBA from the Institute of Management, Calcutta.
