NAB Show New York Named Among Fastest-Growing Shows by Trade Show Executive Magazine

NAB Show New York was named last month as one of the fastest-growing trade shows by “Trade Show Executive” magazine. The largest media, entertainment and technology convention on the East Coast, NAB Show New York showcases the best in next-generation technology for media, entertainment and telecom professionals with conferences and workshops focused on television, film, satellite, online video, live events, advertising, corporate A/V, production and post.

NAB Announces Record-Breaking Attendance for 2016 NAB Show New York

The National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) today announced preliminary registered attendance of 15,404 for the 2016 NAB Show New York. The event was held November 9 – 10 at the Javits Convention Center and is the largest media, entertainment and technology convention on the East Coast. The attendance figure represents a nearly 30 percent increase over 2015 preliminary registered attendance of 12,055.

Award-Winning Cinematographer and Camera Operators Explore Their Creative Process at NAB Show New York

Jim Denault, ASC, cinematographer; Alec Jarnagin, SOC, camera operator; Bruce MacCullum, SOC, camera operator; and David J. Thompson, SOC, camera operator, will appear together at NAB Show New York to discuss the role camera operators play in creating compelling storytelling and what it takes to get “the shot.” Moderated by filmmaker and technician Fergus Burnett, the keynote session titled “The Rock Stars of the Set” will feature creatives who capture some of the industry’s biggest award-winning movies and television shows, such as “Silver Linings Playbook,” “The Departed,” “Silicon Valley” and “Gossip Girl”.

NAB Show New York Presents Session on Live Entertainment and Events in the Big Apple

Amy Kule, group vice president of Macy’s Parade and Entertainment Group; Fred Mangione, COO of Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment; and Ron Skotarczak, EVP of marketing partnerships at The Madison Square Garden Company, will appear together at NAB Show New York to discuss what it takes to deliver a spectacular live event, New York City style. The session, titled “How New York Puts on a Big Live Show,” will feature top executives responsible for hosting, producing or promoting some of New York City’s biggest events, including sports and concert performances at venues like Madison Square Garden and Barclays Center in Brooklyn, as well as Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Gary Zenkel, president of NBC Olympics and president of operations and strategy for the NBC Sports Group; Brian Rolapp, executive vice president of media for the National Football League; and Ray Warren, president, Telemundo Deportes will participate in NAB Show New York’s opening keynote event. The keynote session, moderated by Oriana Schwindt, TV news editor at "Variety," will highlight three of the biggest live events and sports franchises: Sunday Night Football, the Summer and Winter Olympics, and FIFA World Cup.
